The Wrong Turn
A detour forced Emma onto unfamiliar roads.
At first, she wasn’t concerned. Modern navigation could usually find another route.
But as the miles passed, the signal disappeared.
The paved road narrowed into gravel.
Tall fir trees lined both sides of the road.
The deeper they drove, the quieter everything became.
Emma realized they were completely alone.
