Three family members were killed in a horrific head-on crash in Chilton County.
Alabama State Troopers identified the fatality victims as Valerie J. Granville, 65, Vensen E. Granville, 39, and Willie J. Gholston, 69. All three lived in Montgomery.
The wreck happened at 11:03 a.m. Monday on Interstate 65, about two miles south of Verbena.
ALEA Capt. Jeremy Burkett said Valerie Granville was driving a GMC Envoy that crossed the median and collided head on with a GMC Sierra pickup truck driven by 47-year-old Robert B. Eaton of Meridianville.
Debris from the initial impact between the GMC Envoy and the GMC Sierra made contact with, and caused damage to, a Nissan Sentra driven by Drema Webb, 48, of Crossville, Tenn.
Valerie Granville, her husband and her son were all pronounced dead on the scene.
