What do you need?
- A fresh aloe vera leaf or pure aloe vera gel
- Clean cotton socks
- Optionally, a nourishing foot cream
This is how you use it
Step 1: Clean your feet
Wash your feet with lukewarm water and mild soap. Dry them carefully, especially between the toes.
Step 2: Remove excess calluses
If necessary, carefully use a pumice stone or foot file to remove loose, dead skin. Never do this if the skin is bleeding or shows deep cracks.
Step 3: Apply aloe vera
Apply a generous layer of aloe vera gel to the dry heels and gently massage it in.
Step 4: Put on cotton socks
The socks help retain moisture longer and prevent the gel from soaking directly into bedding or clothing.
Step 5: Leave the gel on overnight
During the night, the skin has time to absorb the moisture.
Repeat this treatment a few times a week or daily when your heels are very dry.
